During this year’s A to Z Challenge, I am writing about my latest novel, Escape Plan by giving you all little snippets about the characters, inspiration, and lessons learned while writing my third novel.

Rose is one of my favorite characters I’ve created. She is the younger sister of the main character, Kitty, in both Overlook and Escape Plan. She’s critical of everything Kitty does, cruelly judgemental, and generally unpleasant to be around, but Rose is the one person Kitty can depend on in a crisis. She can negotiate a deal, can divert unwanted attention away from Kitty, and tell her when she acting recklessly. As much as Rose is a thorn in Kitty’s side, when the chips are down, Rose is the person she calls to dispose of a body and get away with murder.
