It’s been a productive week here in the storage room. I signed a contract with Light Messages Publishing to publish Burned To Life! I am still doing my little happy dance around the office. I’m sure the talented editors at Light Messages will have lots of things for me to re-work in the manuscript but for now, I am just enjoying the knowledge that the book will be out later this year.

While I wait to delve back into Burned To Life, I have been trying to get the first draft of Escape Plan finished. There are still some major holes in the plot, but I’m feeling good about it. Kitty is continuing to take me in new directions.

I had a nice interaction with lovely Luccia about her novel based on the story of Jane Eyre. I find it very rewarding to beta read for someone who takes my comments seriously and engages in a back and forth. I can’t wait for her to finish that novel so I can help her promote it.

On the real life front, it snowed here in North Carolina and world came to a screeching halt. My daughter was released from school early on Tuesday and did not have school at all on Wednesday and Thursday. We’ve been essentially housebound all week. The snow is pretty but, come on, it’s only a little snow.

I’m looking forward to catching up on what’s going on in other people’s writing rooms this week. Join me by clicking on the picture below.
