The Durham Kress Building – one of the largest Art Deco buildings in NC.

One of the six bronze markers commemorating Durham as the “Black Wall Street” in the days of segregation.

A stunning weeping Japanese maple in one of the pocket parks downtown.

I had some business downtown and took these pictures in the two blocks between City Hall and my parking space. On such a beautiful day, it was fun to enjoy my city close-up. I took the opportunity to pick up some artisinal bread and locally roasted coffee while I was there. An all together great afternoon.
