images-5An active critique group is invaluable to a writer. You need to occasionally emerge from your lonely garrett and show your work to others. A good critique group will tell you if your work-in-progress is on the right track, if writing style is clear, or if you’ve wildly missed the mark. A good group is supportive and honest. They don’t tell you how to write your book, they keep you writing your book.
